Syd Shores (1916–1973) was a pivotal Golden Age comic artist and inker known for his dynamic realism and Alex Raymond-inspired style. A Pratt Institute graduate, he shaped Timely/Marvel’s iconic Captain America and Sub-Mariner, later defining titles like The Black Rider and Kid Colt.
