Alex Schomburg

Alex Schomburg (1905–1998), born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York, studied under airbrush pioneer Fred Dahme. His explosive, hyper-detailed covers fused dynamic superhero action with sci-fi spectacle, defining titles like Captain America, Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, and Green Hornet. Later mastery of airbrushed pin-ups and sci-fi magazine art cemented his legacy.
