About the Art
This March 1945 issue of Prize Comics showcases a dynamic Golden Age cover that captures the era's fascination with heroism and adventure. The Black Owl, a masked vigilante with a crimson cape, is depicted grappling with a crocodile using a taut rope, embodying themes of bravery and resourcefulness. Meanwhile, Yank and Doodle, patriotic brothers often symbolizing wartime unity, are shown bound and endangered, heightening the tension of the scene.
Published by Crestwood Publications, the comic includes diverse narratives such as humorous Frankenstein tales and more gripping superhero adventures.
